new jazz posters

Two nicely framed posters I got to take home from my former job.
They are just replicas but the designs are pretty sleek if I may say so.
I have no wall space.

Where The Wild Things Are

The adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, directed by Spike Jones will be in theatres this fall. The film has seen multiple setbacks so I hope this fall date is for real. Some of the Wild Thing voices will be spoken by Forest Whitaker, James Gandolfini, and Lauren Ambrose. I have also heard Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeah's fame is doing the soundtrack.
Hurry the fuck up already!!!

From Wikipedia.....
Stanley Donwood is the pen name of English writer and artist Dan Rickwood. [1] Donwood is known for his close association with the British rock group Radiohead, having created all their album and poster art since the My Iron Lung EP in 1994. As of 1996, he has collaborated with Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and others on the band's website, and appeared in the occasional band webcast and the 2001 Grammy Awards ceremony.

John Coltrane Live

I meant to post this earlier.
Great moment from this band.
Check out the steam hovering over the musicians heads.
HOTNESS!!

Pharoah Sanders

I've been on a big John Coltrane trip latley.
Pharoah Sanders was along side Coltrane during some of his most explosive music making.
After Coltrane died, Pharoah Sanders helped carry the torch somewhat.
Highly recommended
